Green Mountain Academy Winter Registration

Fun and learning with GMA begins with registration!
 
This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for winter programs, and submit payment.
 
Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. 

2022-23 WINTER PROGRAMS
 
FOR SNOWBOARD, FREESKI, AND FREERIDE ATHLETES
 
 
JR DEVELOPMENT
Ages 7 - 9 (u10)
December 1 - March 12 (14 weeks) 
$650/half-day Fri
$1,260/full day (Sat, Sun)
 
Junior Development is a program for our youngest athletes to become familiar with and receive instruction in all disciplines. These kids focus on learning fundamentals, guided discovery, mountain exploration, terrain park etiquette and basic techniques and skills that will allow their riding to progress as they grow. These kids are encouraged to compete in at least one Friendly event or event held at Stowe.
 
 
SNOWBOARD & FREESKI TEAMS
Ages 10 - 17
December 1 - March 26 (16 weeks)
$750/half-day (Tue, Wed, Fri)
$1,440/full day (Fri, Sat, Sun)
 
Snowboard and Freeski teams train for excellence in ski and snowboard freestyle (slopestyle, railjam, big air). These teams participate in all disciplines with a continuing focus on all mountain technique,  freestyle progressions, goal setting, and competition preparation. Groups are delineated based on pace, maturity, and competition focus. When the conditions are good, these groups ride all mountain terrain,  but the daily focus persists on park skills and progressing towards their individual goals. Athletes compete in USASA events.
 
 
BIG MOUNTAIN FREERIDE TEAMS

Big Mountain Snowboard Team
Ages 10 - 17
December 1 - March 26 (16 weeks)
$750/half-day (Tue, Wed, Fri)
$1440/full day (Fri, Sat, Sun)
 
The Big Mountain Freeride Program offers group training for IFSA competitive freeride, backcountry, skiercross/ boardercross, and alpine (snowboard only) skills.  It is designed to offer a blend of all-mountain alpine fundamentals, terrain park etiquette and progressions training and competition prepartion. This team spends a large portion of their time in the woods and ripping carves all over the mountain. Athletes will have the option to go on backcountry touring missions as well as compete IFSA freeride events or USASA events.  Additional memberships needed to compete.
 
 
GMA Membership Only
GMA Athlete Membership is included in the cost of any full season program.
 
If a non-program athlete is interested in joining us for select trainings and competitions and will not be part of a full season program, we require this athlete to purchase the club membership. "Member athletes" may "drop-in" to select trainings and competitions with GMA coaches. All "drop-ins" must be approved prior to attending.
 
*Member Athlete* Advanced skiers and riders only. Coach's discretion.
 
GMA Membership is also available as a program support offering for parents, friends, and family members. Every GMA member receives an annual gift and is included on the member mailing list. You will be the first to know about GMA events and happenings. This is a great way to be a part of our family and show your support without joining a program!
 
Membership Cost $250

USSA Membership Requirement

You must purchase a valid membership with USSA and then return to this Registration Page to signup.          General freeskiing or snowboard membership is sufficient for most members.

*If your athlete is futures tour level they will need a full competition license (13+ elite)

 

 If you have not already signed up with USSA, please follow these steps:

  • Step 1:  Obtain current USSA Membership
    • IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT USSA MEMBERSHIP:  CLICK HERE to go to USSA Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USSA. Each player must have their own unique USSA Membership ID.
    • TO LOOK UP/RENEW AN USSA MEMBERSHIP:  CLICK HERE to go to USSA Membership Lookup.
  • Step 2:  Return to this registration and proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USSA Membership ID that you received in Step 1.
